Summer Choral Intensive 2023
July 10-14, 9am-3pm. Final Concert on July 15th at 6pm Open to students entering grade 7 through graduating Seniors, SCI is a week filled with fun and challenging choral repertoire, sectionals with vocal coaching from professionals, theory classes, and guest speakers.

About the Event
The SACRA/PROFANA Summer Choral Intensive, created by San Diego’s leading professional chamber choir and co-sponsored by Point Loma Nazarene University, aims to equip students entering grade 7 through high school graduates of 2023 with a high-level choral experience. Students in the program will rehearse and perform challenging choral repertoire, attend music theory classes, hear from guest speakers such as local professors and professional musicians, and benefit from group sectionals with a professional of their specific voice type. The week culminates in a final performance featuring choral works rehearsed during the program directed by Juan Carlos Acosta (SACRA/PROFANA’s Artistic Director) and Dr. Keith Pedersen from Point Loma Nazarene University.
*Please Note: We will be requiring students to show proof of vaccination in order to participate in the camp, and will be following state/county guidelines for COVID safety protocol.
