LOVE REVEALED: Songs of Awakening
Sunday February 15th, 2009
5 p.m.
The Immaculata Church, University of San Diego
Sacra/Profana celebrates American Music, from Leonard Bernstein to Leonard Cohen! This eclectic program features a wide variety of music by American composers, all concentrated on the transformative power of love.
As the Immaculata Church at the University of San Diego celebrates its 50th Anniversary, we are pleased to collaborate with the Immaculata Choirs and members of the USD Symphony on the second half of the program. Together, we will perform two short choral works by W.A. Mozart commemorating the Blessed Virgin Mary: Alma Dei Creatoris and the Litaniae Lauretanae.
